CTTP Testing Day Policies

On testing day, arrive at CTTP ready to complete the exams. These sessions are set up for testing only, and there will be no training session or practice time. Prior to the testing session, please study all online materials, including online modules, videos, classroom presentation, study guide, and practice problems. If possible, practice the performance tests in your lab.

Be ready to take the written and performance exams when you arrive!

Please enter the building at the front entrance (near the flag poles) with a mask.

  • If you are not wearing a mask, you will not be allowed to enter the building.

University policies require a mask to be worn at all times while indoors (in classrooms, hallways, and laboratories), and outdoors when social distancing cannot be guaranteed.

  • Participants who refuse to comply with the mask policy will be asked to leave.

All participants must be symptom-free and must not have experienced any of the following within the previous 14 days:

  • Any new symptoms of coughing, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, nausea, fever, chills, or muscle aches
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Close contact (within 6 feet for 15 or more minutes) with a person confirmed as having COVID-19
  • Completed symptom or exposure-based COVID-19 testing with results pending or positive

Upon arrival, each participant’s temperature will be checked using a non-contact thermometer. Participants with a temperature of 100.4 or greater will not be admitted to the classroom. Additional social distancing and safety measures will take place in the classroom, including the following:

  • A mask will be worn at all times (*the instructor will wear a face shield and stand behind a plexiglass shield, according to University policy)
  • Desks will be spaced to accommodate social distancing
  • Seats will be assigned, and all student materials will be at the assigned seat
  • No access cards will be issued. The only approved entry is the front building entrance
  • Drinks (water and soda) will be available, but snacks will not be provided
  • Lunch will be provided, and must be eaten either:
    1. immediately following the written exam in the classroom at the assigned seat, or
    2. after the performance exam off-site (i.e., take it to go)
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the classroom

Performance testing stations will be spaced to accommodate social distancing, in addition to the following:

  • A mask and safety glasses or a mask and face shield must be worn in the laboratory
  • If possible, bring your own personal safety glasses
  • Gloves are recommended and will be available in the laboratory
  • Equipment will be sanitized after each use
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the laboratory
  • When possible, multiple test methods will be performed at a single performance station to minimize touch points

Be ready to take the written and performance exams when you arrive!

Note that if conditions change significantly, CTTP may be forced to cancel testing dates.
